The false promise of the sweeping zoning bill package pitched by @MayorBMScott as a path to affordable housing. https://t.co/JY6OTOwTgx Visionary reform? Or just a way to help developers cut costs? There's a reason Black Baltimore residents are leery. [OP-ED]

At a hearing, residents said @MayorBMScott's zoning deregulation bills will hurt their neighborhoods and some councilmembers pushed back as well. https://t.co/4pz8fKacBT But two of the bills got committee approval . . . and are set to go before the council Monday for a vote.

Baltimore’s now $5.6 million website redesign will be out-of-date when it’s launched. https://t.co/higCBxx9J0 The @OIG_Baltimore finds eye-popping new costs for the overhaul of the city’s website that, strangely, has it running on a soon-to-expire content management system.

Fistfights, parking lot scuffles, disputed union elections. Check out the colorful history of @AFSCMEMaryland, which was quietly reeling from a $1M phishing scam when it took over the more solvent Council 67/Local 44, which repped Bmore sanitation workers https://t.co/q93RiEONy3

BREW SPECIAL REPORT: How the takeover of a Baltimore union helped @AFSCMEMaryland recover from its “phishing” losses. https://t.co/q93RiEONy3 Now we know why absorbing city sanitation workers’ Local 44, and other Council 67 units, was so important to AFSCME leadership.

It's looking more and more like hush money. @BaltCoGov has erected a wall of secrecy around the $100k payment to Johnny Olszewski's ex-chief of staff. It's time for the facts to come out. Op-Ed by David Plymyer. https://t.co/uDIPgZbExc

The Feds abandoned their "larger investigation" into Strong City, the Baltimore nonprofit that mishandled money intended for grassroots Black groups. Now with the end of its ex-CEO's criminal case, no one knows where the millions of dollars went. https://t.co/4FqB4f9saG
