(1/n)After 10y of moving away from engineering to pursue a doctorate in basic sciences, it was indeed a dream come true moment to hold the degree in hand finally. Thanks to my spirit animals🦇 & some great souls, this journey is officially complete! Hence a PhD retrospective 🧵

New paper out! We found that in pipistrelle bats, social vocalizations carry a stronger phylogenetic signal than echolocation calls, suggesting the former evolve more slowly, while the latter remains flexible and shaped by the environment. https://t.co/i5btFfv0mG
