Coach DeLong was the heart of Sunbury. He was a great coach but even better person. Coach loved his community and loved supporting everyone. Coach will forever be missed and will always be remembered!

My Father in Law, West Jeff and Big Walnut Legendary Coach Rollie DeLong passed away this week after a year long battle with cancer. He was a hero to many. He was a State and National Championship linebacker and served our country in Vietnam. Thank you Rollie. RIP 🙏🏻

And this is why following D3 athletics is so great. Talented student-athletes...who are students 1st...who work and compete as hard as those at upper levels. Healthy balance between school and athletics. I think D3 now is what college athletics started out as...and should be.

I believe NCAA DIII is the last real representation of amateurism among college athletics.

We think fatigue happens when our muscles run out of gas. Push too hard, and eventually the body just quits. But research shows that’s not quite true. The body often has more left, it’s the brain that calls it. Fatigue is a negotiation.

Here’s the trap: Runners who fear discomfort start chasing finish times. “Did I PR?” becomes safer than asking, “Did I run as far as my body and mind would let me today?” The clock is useful—but it can’t measure courage. Actual growth starts when athletes stop looking down at

I am convinced that there are three types of energies that championship teams have. 1. Positive energy 2. Competitive energy 3. Team-first energy When you have all three, you have something special.

A winning culture doesn’t look flashy. What does it look like? - Standards that don't drop when it’s hard - Teammates holding each other accountable - Energy that lifts, not drags - Leaders who choose “we” over “me” That’s what winning really looks like.

If you want progress, stop making every day a ‘make or break’ model. Stacking work; without time off, is what will make you a Champion. Don’t overly stress about one day…

I love it when an athlete wants to talk about a race plan. It’s the first real step in wanting to improve performance while racing. It means they’re ready to use their brain during an event which is awesome!

Mike Leach said, "Nothing is really fun unless it's hard. We've got to embrace that things are going to be hard and we've got to embrace being excited when things are hard." The best don’t fear obstacles, they embrace them. You can't become great if you only chase what's easy.
