OCT 31: #OnThisDay in 1930, astronaut Michael Collins was born in Rome, Italy. Chosen in NASA’s 3rd astronaut class in 1963, Collins served on both Gemini X and Apollo 11. Along with his career at NASA, Collins ended his military career as Major General in the USAF.
