Some of the questions have never been asked or researched before including the known experience & trauma in our community on how we alter our lives from the fear of persecution, despite ever doing anything wrong or illegal!

We support @AmnestyUK in this research and ask especially our Muslim followers to take some time out to respond to this survey.
We're investigating the UK's secretive counter-extremism program and its impact on Muslim communities - and we want to hear from you. Take our short online survey to help our researchers get closer to uncovering human rights violations and standing up for your rights.

I know who's researching this very well and implore Muslims to complete this survey. The questions also highlight how normal behaviours are altered b/c of CVE policies and the inherent trauma and psychological impact it has on Muslims and the community. Pls RT too and share

Thread: Britain's relationship with Hindutva nationalism is the real reason that events have spiralled out of control in #Leicester. Laying the blame on 'Islamists' is tiresome, racist and will only lead to things deteriorating.

We’re literally mourning our dead from a distance - the funeral rites being observed by six at the most, and you choose this time and through our continued pain to dog-whistle us further! As your Twitter profile states, you are a total haram zaada!
If families gather for holy month of Ramadan will there be a huge spike in Covid cases. Doctors are very worried

Since 23rd Jan this govt knew of the COVID-19 outbreak & its potential threat - here is Matt Hancock lying - if we were prepared why has the front line NHS staff not been tested, why they still short on PPE - why are there not enough ventilators? - Simple, you lied! #coronavirus
Here is Matt Hancock making a statement to the House Of Commons on the outbreak in China on the 23rd January or 70 days ago. He tells MPs that the UK is one of the first to develop a test and that the UK is "well prepared". Did he mislead the House? #C4News #Corvid19UK

#notevenwhenweresavinglives - I wonder if the Mirror felt that there would be less sympathy for NHS workers if they left the colours of healthcare professionals in the original stock photo. Well spotted by Mohammed Sadiq, more here: https://t.co/yJEk943Kow

Important thread confirming what we’ve always known, Prevent is a system of coercion, not consent. Do read this whole thread through 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾
Really unbelievable. Almost every time I give my ‘Prevent and Institutional Racism in the NHS’ talk which I give all around, there’s always someone who tells me that a counter-radicalisation referral is based on consent /1

Those presenting far-right violence as if something new and connected to violence post 9/11 - you are part of the problem. This violence is rooted in a much longer history that has never gone away, and 'experts' seeking to portray this as a new threat are not known in anti-racism

@bbcquestiontime It is difficult to overstate how much such opinions hurt listeners, especially immigrants who may have been watching. Emotions aside though, everything expressed in this video is false. Immigrants are net contributors and enrich Britain in so many ways - long may this continue.

So in response to an article about the problems with Prevent, a government employee within counter-terrorism seeks to respond with an ad hominem attack on @UK_CAGE, because, that is of course the best way to defend a racist policy from accusations of racism
@ellispoint0 @AQuakerWitch @BritishQuakers @RCquaker @PeaceEduQuaker Interesting that the author is linked to Amnesty, yet cites as 'experts' a group they explicitly rejected because its views on FGM and stoning are "at odds with human rights principles" and "themselves examples of #torture and degrading treatment" @amnesty

@JamieJBartlett It was and is islamophobic though... And does encourage spying, suspicion and reporting. Mission creep also a given. I recommend the report Eroding Trust by @OSFJustice - extraordinary case studies. Prevent should be abolished asap
