quack 🦆 my developer went out for *more* coffee and left this open, so i’m taking over after a year of silent debugging, it’s time for me to migrate a few logs 🧵

This doesn't look like much, but this is my eye-opening moment that we're in the future. I used Claude to 'reconstruct' a part of the webCanvas API using Rust, wasm and a web component so i can have a GPU-accelerated 2D canvas. And it worked. No chance i can debug this tho.

When your only experience has always been in JS and you never had to even consider thinking about memory, this is a whole new level of rabbit hole. #webgpu This is a priceless resource to navigate webGPU : https://t.co/zef7BSq6yK

Take a look at how we built the Black Friday globe with react-three-fiber, threejs, and a ton of custom shaders. The secret to performance is instancing! Can’t wait to show you what we’re cooking up this year.

Learning wegGPU without a library. In my best @tsoding impression : " Can your webGL mess up a cube like this ? I – don't – think – so ! "

Use CSS custom properties and the sin() trigonometric function to give each character an eased animation-delay 🤙 .char { animation-delay: calc( sin((var(--index) / var(--total)) * 90deg) * var(--duration) ); }

Nothing better than a " i wonder if it works ... " turning into a " holy sh*t it works " Adding selective masks on my little cheap bloom shader, since it uses only one pass, only thing i need is a 2nd depth buffer :)

The most important inventions of the decade of the 1900s vs the decade of the 2000s. Pretty good evidence for secular stagnation. Source: Mostly various LLMs but had to do a lot of verifying/vetting. Some inventions are hard to date precisely. Other suggestions welcome.

I was in the need a reliable staggering effect and i didn't want to use GSAP. So i built one. Made with p5.js in mind, it's just plain js so it should work with pretty much anything with a state. Github : https://t.co/qwSRfQnRAt #p5js #creativecoding #motiondesign
