Dylan nails it here. Tightness is often your body’s way of revealing a strength deficit. It’s not just discomfort - it’s a signal that tissue capacity has been exceeded. And while it’s tempting to treat that tightness with passive modalities, none of them replace the protective.
The vast majority of the time, your [insert muscle/body part] tightness is not a flexibility/mobility issue. It’s a weakness and exceeding tissue capacity issue. The tightness is communication from the body that you are currently red-lining the capacity of the tissue to handle.
