I’m really pleased our Christmas Markets have accessible Mobiloo toilets. It’s a step in the right direction in ensuring our city is accessible and inclusive for all.
We want everyone to enjoy the festive fun at our Christmas Markets. ☃️ To make our markets accessible, we offer accessible toilets and changing rooms, rest spaces, signposted priority seating, sensory rooms, and more. Find out more: https://t.co/WPNGwZPCfA

Pleased to see this change coming into effect as part of the @UKLabour Renters' Rights Act. Section 21, 'No-fault' evictions are the biggest cause of homelessness in Manchester. A welcome change for the 90,000 households who are tenants in the private rental sector in our city.🏡

We've had some OUTSTANDING news this morning. 🏆 🎉 Ofsted's latest big inspection of our children's services has given them the highest possible rating. We're the first place in the North West to achieve this. 👉 You can read the full report here: https://t.co/7Fg2p43SUi

As part of our regular work to listen to and work with residents across the city centre to make neighbourhoods nicer, we spent the afternoon speaking with residents in St John’s. Thanks to @Piccadilly_Lab for the extra help capturing residents’ ideas!

We get asked why graffiti criminals are not convicted. It turns out they are. The prolific Howard tagging owner has had his day in court and was caught due to collaboration between @GMPCityCentre & @MCCCityCentre officers & will act as a deterrent for others

The footbridge is now repaired in Castlefield basin. It’s taken months of reporting by @deansgatelabour cllrs & @MCCCityCentre officers but it’s finally fixed. We always work hard to ensure public realm managed by private orgs are maintained to a standard residents want & deserve
@PeelLandP & @BridgewaterWay this broken bridge in Castlefield was reported to you by @deansgatelabour cllrs & @MCCCityCentre officers over a month ago. Any idea when this will be fixed? It’s causing accessibility issues in the basin. Castlefield deserves better!!

The new Sainsbury’s Local on Deansgate, serving Castlefield is now open. Often when the new homes we need are built, residents ask us: Are we building the shops, schools, and doctors too? And the answer is YES! We campaign for those things across the city centre.
