Means testing a household for WFA: apparently too complicated to be done at source by govt. Will have to get HMRC claw it back. Means testing a household’s energy bill by private company: could be a doddle according to Ofgem.
Gas and electricity bills could be means-tested, with the better off paying more, under @ofgem’s latest plans “Are there ways in which we can attach the price customers pay for fixed costs to income?” It asks.

I accept the point about the ridiculousness of multi-millionaires receiving the state pension but if a means testing threshold was set too low people will simply not save for retirement or care costs because there would be no point. So need to be careful here. #GMB.
