This morning, the Senate Appropriations committee passed the Labor-Health and Human Services-Education bill through committee. Level funding for #wkdev, small increase for #apprenticeship. Supported by members on both sides of the aisle.

On the move in the Senate: JOBS Act (a #wkdev package that @skillscoalition has longtime advocated for) along with leg that would expand partnerships between biz and training providers, support career pathway programs, and that would modernize the national #apprenticeship act.

What's important for all to note about this new report is that 92% of jobs analyzed require #digitalskills, and when we address access to digital skill building - labeling it as essential - we can see advancements in #equity, opportunity, and economic growth.

There's no question as to whether #digitalskills are as important as broadband and devices. @SkillsCoalition and @AtlantaFed researched, analyzed, and are now reporting back on how state policymakers can effectively target new federal resources to close the digital divide.
