I think I cracked the Solak mystery. It's the runes on the pads.
It looks like it translates to either "Pascha ova hic non condolebit tibi" or "Tibi pascha ova hic non condolebit".
Which translates to something roughly like "Easter eggs here will not disappoint you."

I want Jagex to dedicate a team to modernize the game world. Gu'Tanoth, Karamja, Yanille, Seer's Village, Jiggig, Dorgesh-Kaan, Agility Arena, Ranging Guild, Magic Guild etc. are horribly out of date.
