This is at least partially correct.
@emollick I think some of it comes from diminishing returns relative to the average user needs (cf polygons in graphics). Even as models improve exponentially on benchmarks, their utility for answering basic questions is improving more slowly, but mainly because they’re already “fine”

This is a wrong conclusion! Top tiers have been raising well - check last fund raise by TB- but smaller / mid have struggles since rate of return expectations are quite high due to higher cost of capital for those markets
