Raptor heaven!
OK folks, here's something you don't see every day. Literally. A male Hen Harrier, harassing a Peregrine Falcon, and oh, that just happens to be a Merlin watching the commotion. @Natures_Voice @RSPBEngland

Can someone confirm what sort of egg sac this is? I immediately thought of wasp spider but while not impossible that would be rare for this site. β¦@BritishSpidersβ©

Getting in early for the dawn chorus season this morning. I joined the Friends of Brandon Wood for an early start. Robin was up even earlier though and welcomed us to the wood at 4.30!

Autumnal enough for redwings and fungi yet mild enough for numerous dragonflies and a couple of brimstone β¦@WKWTβ© Whitacre heath this morning. Cettis, jays, great spotted & green woodies, linnet, kestrels and meadow pipits too. Snipe in amongst the cattle also.

These will help avoid flooding in many areas. Seems very relevant right now!
