Great honor to meet with Prof. Capecchi in person, nobel laureate 2007. His work made it possible to engineer mice genetically to model diseases, including pancreatic cancer as we study it. #science #lino2023 #sciencecelebrity

The study is a follow up work from our previous publication based on @dietrichruess and @schiselinski `s wonderful work. You can find the great load of mind blowing data, proving the importance of SHP2 in KRAS dependent cancers in the publication:

It could be one of the most important studies I had the privilege to contribute in my early scientific carrier. Based on these results, there is already a trial that has started some time ago (SHERPA). Hope to see the good results! fingers crossed! :)
https://t.co/ytP6wrfuhY Finally published! See the results of a great collaboration between @AlgulLab and @BernardsLabora1 Here we show pre-clinical validation of SHP2i and ERKi combination therapy to treat KRAS mutant PDAC tumors! Vital basis for the now ongoing SHERPA trial.
