Some plants have been shown to respond to stimuli (venus fly trap for example) but this is not sentience. They have no brain or nervous system to process feeling.
Either way, the vast majority of crops grown go to feed livestock.

1/ I eat honey sometimes. If I know the bees are well kept. I only say vegan because if I say plant based that is not clear - e.g. I could 80% plant, which I don't. I eat honey. On occasion I don't check how wine is clarified. I wear shoes and use leather bags that I had before
