When patients were stratified into 2 cohorts based on HRPCI score (scores 0–4 vs. scores 5–8) 30-day mortality was significantly higher among those with scores 5–8 (5.4 % vs. 17.0 %, HR [95 % CI] = 3.4 [2.12–5.51], p < 0.0001)

🚫Limitation: only for patients undergoing HRPCI with Impella (Protect III database). The score needs further external validation.

Novel risk score for Impella-HRPCI to calculate in-hospital mortality. Easy to remember and can be useful to discuss risk of mortality with patients undergoing #HRPCI. 📌
