A fine comparison but sad that 91k procedures were done outside of randomized trials—w no compelling evidence of net benefit. It’s these sorts of studies that help normalize unproven procedures. Cc @AndrewFoy82 @MRuzieh @kaulcsmc.

I've always thought the most corrosive effect of Trump's destruction of norms will be the temptation for the opposition to further erode norms in mutually assured destruction. Biden's unwise, unprecedented preemptive pardons for his family do just that.
