Thatâs what Iâm sayin though - he switched it up from what he had planned. What may hit the page ultimately is different but that doesnât change that he communicated a plan and has since deviated from that plan
@AkedaKeyz My man he hasn't finished telling the story yet, doesn't matter what he outlined for the show. If I say I'm going write that Samy is going to the store, but then change my mind and write that he went to school instead, then he went to school. The Author has the final say.

I wouldnât say backlash at that time but a general concern about clashing with the show in some form or fashion - thatâs just me though. I love the work I just donât think the âhe wrote himself into a cornerâ thing works anymore based on what heâs saying

Iâve read all the books multiple times, tell me how characters like Jon, Cersei, Jaime, Arya and Sansa canât end up in the same positions they did at the end of the show? What is so impossible about their endings?
Anyone who says this literally just hasn't read the books, the shows ending literally CANNOT be the books ending because of how many storylines and characters were ignored or changed, I guess we know whats gonna happen to Young Griff since it will be just like the show đ§đžââď¸

@AkedaKeyz If he's trying to find a way to end it differently, then it's not his original ending is it. The books aren't finished yet, and he IS the AUTHOR of the story.

Idk man 15 years with no new book but multiple interviews talking about how different the books will be from the show makes the hill feel pretty comfy to me

He shared an outline of how major charactersâ stories would end with D&D around S3/4. Since the show has ended, every interview he says his ending will be different but we havenât gotten anything in over a decade. Why the delay if heâs not trying to alter his original plan?

I will die on the hill that the shows ending is the books ending (even though itâs achieved differently) and he hasnât released the books bc heâs trying to find a way to end the story differently to avoid the backlash despite everything heâs already written
