I’m heartbroken to hear this news today. I had the privilege of knowing Evanne, meeting her at a house party at 16, and knowing even then that I’d just met one of the biggest forces of nature, the brightest of lights, and most incredible of humans. Rest in peace Evanne🤍.
Our beautiful & incredible daughter Evanne sadly passed away last night after nearly 6 & a half years battling this cruel disease. We’re grateful that the oncology staff at QEHB & Good Hope ICU were so supportive & helped make her final hours as pain free & dignified as possible.

This afternoon, I attended my old secondary school to present some of my PhD work. I had such a good time chatting to the students and providing them with some insight into mass spectrometry and metabolomics research in glioblastoma 🧠🥼👩🏻💻
