The Energy Bill Support Scheme doesn’t prioritise those most vulnerable to #FuelPoverty & puts money into the pockets of some who do not need it. There’s knowledge out there about how best to help households in/at risk of FP. In fact, the knowledge isn’t out there, it’s here ⬇️.
It's clear current government measures are not enough to help those experiencing #fuelpoverty. So what measures could actually help? . @NeilNds & @CaitHRobin review a range of alternatives in their new policy brief: #energycrisis #costoflivingcrisis.

The second paper to emerge from our SI on energy poverty & decarbonisation, @profgpw considers how decolonisation affects understanding of inequalities in energy use and why access to affordable energy matters.

Thanks so much @UoNEnergy for inviting me and allowing me the space to talk about so many of my current research interest. Great and challenging questions afterwards too.
The first of the Institute's external webinar series was a fascinating talk from @AimeeAmbrose about energy poverty and justice. Lots to think about when considering transition to #NetZero and ensuring fair distribution of resources.
