With another semester ending, here's your annual reminder that teaching evaluations systemically disadvantage women. Even when controlling for grades and other factors, students (esp. males) consistently give female professors lower scores. This can have serious ramifications.🧵

🧵 The Council of the EU just killed the revision of the Long Term Residence Directive. With this decision, member states are missing an opportunity to shape fair, effective and more harmonised #migration policies across the region. A little thread to understand what this means.
It’s over 😢 Council Pres decided to unilaterally cancel the negotiations on the EU Long Term Residence Directive - mainly because one country lobbied heavily against it (merci beaucoup…) After years of working on this law, this is a sad outcome. Statement in committee 👇🏽
