@melvincarvalho @heavilyarmedc Note that it is within IETF working group that they use rough consensus. They also don’t try to involve every individual internet user in their decision process.

Just incase its not clear: They’re going to send threatening letters to the legal teams at mining pools to try to pressure them into running the fork.

A fork under the threat of “legal consequences” is the most clear case of an attack on Bitcoin

The new softfork (BIP 444) proposed by the filterbois has verbiage that you would see in a government mandated soft fork. These people have become completely disconnected from the reality of how Bitcoin functions, its value proposition, and its security model. Disavow them.
