Ai is GARBAGE. I was sent a pdf of the latest book I've illustrated to review the placement of my work with the text, and Adobe Acrobat has these pop up Ai descriptions of my illustrations. This popped up above an illustration of dinosaurs. What is the point of this garbage?

Because it was never intended for animation production. Macromedia Flash was developed to work with Dreamweaver. Once it became used widely by animators, Adobe morphed it into "Animation Software" with elements added. Its "stale" because they're not in the business of animation.
One person on Bluesky called Adobe customer support about this and they said Adobe Animate is being discontinued because “the company can't think of any new features to add to the program and they feel it's gotten stale.” Their course of action? Killing it.

As someone who started with Macromedia Flash before it was Adobe Animate, its no surprise they decided to randomly dump a product that was NEVER built for animated productions. People made it work for them. Was there anyone at Adobe EVER reading the user crash reports? Doubt it.

Stop. Elder Millennials and Gen X remember well. The hype was in the lead up, which lasted until we saw the film. I don't like publicly ragging on films, unless its Love Actually, but I was 18 back then and hating on The Phantom Menace was GLOBAL.
The revisionism is that the Phantom Menace was hated when it came out. It wasn't. The hype was real. I was there. The Duel of the Fates, the Podrace sequence and on and on. It was AFTER—around the time of Attack of the Clones—when the internet rewrote history to dump on it.
