Sad news. Fine actor and a nice man.
Very sad at the loss of the wonderful, incomparable Charles Kay. My godfather and my friend of 55 years. An actor’s actor. He made every production he was in better and every life he touched brighter. I will miss him hugely. RIP lovely man. 💔

The tomb was restored and you can visit for free. Ladder one end to climb to be able to see inside. Fascinating.
Sir Richard Burton died of a heart attack in Trieste on October 20, 1890. He and his wife are buried in a tomb shaped like a bedouin tent at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in London.

Maybe if they did not waste money redesigning the front of stage show to show, then ticket prices might be reasonable. Both “Importance” & “Ballet Shoes” have B I G sets and mucked about forestages….why? I enjoyed both but how big / vast were they!
I didn't want to do a detour into the fact that top price tickets for this are £110 but, seriously, 2025 NT Live aside, the National needs to remember the importance of being affordable

Great man and a great number of fabulous theatres.
Born #OTD 1854 the great Frank Matcham, architect of some of the most iconic theatres & music halls in the UK. Many demolished but many remain including @Grand_Theatre @VillaGaiety @LondonColiseum His legacy is kept alive today by our friends @frankmatchamsoc 👏
