If you allow them to leave but stop their ability to return to the US to continue leeching in the labor force you’ve effectively disincentivized the vast majority of illegal migrant labor by making such returns impossible.

Border entry being low is effectively a total stop on illegal immigration. The vast majority of illegals do not actually plan to stay in the US long term they hop back and forth across the border to their home country to make payments, see family, deposit funds and then comeback.
The admin is publicizing deportations to dissuade illegals from trying to cross the border and to encourage self-deportation. The numbers aren't clear on the latter, but border entries are at historic lows.

For at least 300 years, Britain's policy in Great Game of world politics was to divide and conquer, destabilizing any nation that looked like it might dominate Europe. This dates back at least to the Napoleonic Wars. I'm still confused what Europe's role was with Bolshevik 1917.
