It could be a coincidence BUT the team that made the biggest deal about mental toughness and appeared to use running and exercise punishment to get there seemed to make a few mentally weak errors last night.

Becoming immune to stress scales with becoming skilled in psychological interpretation. When one comes to terms with anything that is possible, any event, or thought, may occur, no matter how extreme, and it will not be negatively interpreted.

How we prepare our soccer players for the season: 1. Lift heavy 2. Move well 3. Play your sport for fitness 4. Repeat consistently If you have a fitness test to pass, practice it. But don’t make it the nucleus of your training plan.

Gabi capped off her 700th workout at ASP with a beltless DL PR of 335. This is 10 over her last competition DL (when she won her 2nd Nat Championship). The best example of the synergy of hard work and consistency that I’ve ever coached.

Drive for show, putt for dough. Good golf slogan. In speed terms, running mechanic drills are for show. Power coordination exercises in the weight room are the money makers. And when you’re able to individualize the prescription of those exercises it’s almost unfair.

Fastest way to improve NFL/NCAAF results- stop practicing at high intensities on consecutive days and replace sleds, shoots, shields, bags...with scaled competition actions. Get good at a 'thing" by practicing the 'thing', and not a bad approximation of the 'thing'

A soccer player squatting 365 for a solid triple. One of the more impressive feats of strength we’ve seen this calendar year. Shirt says it all. Don’t over complicate training.

Dear sport coaches, if you know more about S&C than your S&C coach then you hired the wrong one. I’ve actually never seen it happen though. Let them do their jobs! We work for arguably the best of all time and he’s never told us how to do our jobs.
