Brilliant to see the collaboration between @PPUK_ and @nasen_org - two of the #AboveandBeyond organisations - working together to support dual or multiple exceptional #DME learners. We're looking forward to hearing more about this during 2020. #hlp #supportingtogether

An important reminder during #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek - children with #hlp often have a greater depth of awareness than their peers and need you to help them understand their emotions.

Gifted children may start to tackle existential questions much earlier than their peers… and they may not yet know how to emotionally handle these thoughts. Remind your kids that it’s okay to talk about what scares or saddens them!

It’s great to hear that school clubs offer opportunities for all to work at their level - regardless of age. Hopefully this child’s bravado will now open opportunities for other able children who lack her confidence - well done to all.

Today a tiny girl talked her way into the upper school writing club, produced a handwritten copy of @joshuaseigal ‘s Just a Book, gave a bravura reading of it before eating all the crisps & dashing off a story that made the seniors sit up. #SheCanStay

Depression is common among the gifted. It may feel as though no one can help or even understand, but you are not alone. Proper social and emotional supports for the gifted are critical.
