I think about this all the time, countering the amnesia of the digital age will require resources to regularly catalogue and backup the abyss of information that is the current internet.
I think that our era will be very obscure in centuries to come. Reliance on apps and webpages for recording news, diaries, videos, music and photographs will let them vanish into a black hole. 1920 will be better understood by our great grandchildren than 2020.
