🧵The paper revisits some classic questions in public economics about optimal redistribution:. Should redistribution operate only through income taxes and transfers? . Should we also implement taxes on savings or on luxury goods? Or implement food or housing subsidies?.

Les chapitres 5 et 6 seront sans doute moins repris mais suggèrent une réforme plus fondamentale de la structure des cotisations. La recommandation est de passer d'un système où les cotisations employés-employeurs sont à la fois contributives et non-contributives .
