Atlanta sports. Could’ve led the #Falcons to a Lombardi & taken #Hawks to the top while slugging for #Braves... but couch life is just too comfy.

Raheem Morris on Brandon Dorlus’ scary knee injury: “We dodged a big-time bullet.” Dorlus will miss Week 18 but did not sustain significant damage.

Just a damning indictment of the Atlanta Falcons that the NFC South leader going into the season finale is 8-8, and they were mathematically eliminated a month ago

One of the biggest "what ifs?" of this Falcons season: What if Divine Deablo didn't get hurt? The Falcons went 0-5 without him, counting the SF game where he was hurt on the first drive.

Xavier Watts is the best Falcons rookie DB since Deion Sanders, Bijan Robinson is having the best season any Falcons RB has ever had, James Pearce Jr. is a DROY contender, the team is second in the NFL in sacks, and they were practically out of the playoffs by Thanksgiving.

The leap is legit. Johnson’s improving at a pace we don’t often see, cemented his two-way presence to go alongside his underrated playmaking. He’s not waiting to arrive, he’s already here and he’s been punishing the league this season. Highlights from his last 5 games👇🏼

lmost forgot about Mo Gueye. His defense has been shockingly good, and apparently he can score when given the chance. He needs more minutes. Not to diminish Risacher (he’s been fine) but our bench bigs have been impactful, and more big lineups could be situationally stronger.

Defense is… rough (OO / KP lineups aside). I expected better with Dyson, NAW, KP as tools. Dyson’s 3 is cold but he’s playing fine. Passive on offense, but lots of new shooters taking last year’s looks, so not shocking. Playing without a real PG but the pack approach is working.

The Hawks have a BUNCH of interesting angles right now, even with Trae out. WINS. Krejci aggressively raining 3s. NAW’s big usage and doing it all. OO looking polished, seriously dominating with KP behind him. And Trae’s absence may be expediting Jalen Johnson’s true breakout.

This Falcons staff couldn’t coach its way out of a wet paper bag. Another embarrassing loss defined by ugly errors and mistakes.

I love this game & breaking down tape, but I’m struggling to watch the ATL O tape!!! Predictable… boring (same plays over and over)… don’t like the spacing often… lots of miscommunication… just don’t really get it??!

Second Falcons game in a row with an unnecessary early timeout leading immediately into a delay of game. Failing at the basics. Poor poor coaching.

I think Penix will probably do well. Hope he does. But he’s hugely unproven. Last season was a small sample. Cousins still being on the roster will be VERY awkward if Penix struggles… because there’s a real chance Cousins (if/when healthy) is the better QB. 🤷

Not giving up a ton here, and he has the talent to be valuable — but one look at his injury history means bracing for another semi-star to miss half the year.
BREAKING: Boston, Atlanta and Brooklyn are finalizing a three-team trade that sends Kristaps Porzingis and a second-round pick to the Hawks, Terance Mann and Atlanta's No. 22 pick to the Nets, and Georges Niang and a second-rounder to the Celtics.
