This is a good list!

Then in the next class we are beginning to study quadratic functions. We learned that the second differences are constant. He made a conjecture that cubic functions would have third differences that are constant. He spent time trying it out, and it worked! Love this curiosity

I wanted to share two bright moments of my day. We are beginning our study of square roots by drawing squares and relating side length and area. He spent time determining there was no rational number answer for the side length of a square with an area of 8. Continuedβ¦

I use a post it note, but this is such a great tip for using Desmos effectively. Pacing and pausing are important to get the most student engagement and conversation during your lesson.

The Desmos turtle is a fave with my 8th graders. The turtle reappeared in a new lesson and the exclaimed βthe turtle is backβ! Thanks @desmosclassroom for the on point student engagement.
