@AnneliesKusters By becoming more aware of our strategies and the ways deaf people utilise multimodal communication, we can use these tactics with confidence and purpose - no matter the setting, e.g. online via video, on-site in health care or workplace settings. #ASLI2024.

The talk refers to the excellent work by @AnneliesKusters' on deaf people's multimodal communication by looking at how in-vision interpreters use pointing, gestures, images & other forms of multimodal communication to facilitate their work.

Day 2 of the efsli conference 2024 and we are happy to attend a very insightful presentation about sustainability of the signed language interpreting profession by Dr Isabelle Heyerick, Ireland/Belgium. How can we ensure career viability for Sign Language Interpreters?

Insights from the INforMHAA project by .Prof. J. Napier and Prof. A. Young from.the UK on behalf of INforMHAA team. A goldmine for our sign language colleagues with many tools available online to better prepare for and collaborate in Mental Health interpreting.
