Day 1 of the 5th WFD Conference.The 5th WFD Conference officially opened today. The first day addressed the theme: “Artificial Intelligence and Sign Languages”, highlighting both the challenges and opportunities that AI presents for deaf communities. Dr. Maartje De Meulder.

For the first time, the WFD organised a Pre-Conference entirely dedicated to gender equality, under the theme: “Strengthening Gender Diversity in Deaf Organisations.”.Over two intensive days, representatives from 30 countries came together to discuss the rights of deaf women.
