"Let kids be kids". Beautiful. Be active, develop multiple movement patterns and become a well rounded athlete. Run around the yard barefoot. Climb a tree! Put the devices down and be imaginative. End early sport specialization.

Just a friendly reminder that workouts don't make you stronger/more athletic. They only serve as stimuli for adaptation. Realize the effects requires good RECOVERY! Prioritize what matters most. @YLMSportScience :

Not a bad day for junior @LucasChris1722 squatting 515 today. Would he get three white lights at a USAPL meet? Probably not. Do we think that's relevant for a high school football player? No. Is he DEFINITELY strong as heck? Oh yeah!

I know I’ll catch some 💩for this but, if you’re a high school athlete you should not be doing bodypart workouts. I’m amazed when I talk to kids who say they “did back” today. Not sure how we shift that message? I know it won’t be by coaches arguing about it here. 😉.
