“Wait until you’re my age”. Well….I’m 40 years old today and look and feel better than when I was 30 and look better than the majority of 20 year olds out there. Body comp excellent.Labs on point.Sleep is great.Feeling strong, energetic, and recovered. Doing things my own way

At 40 the best part about birthdays now is:. Seeing how excited the kids are about what gifts they created/have for me and the cake they have chosen. Getting to spend time with family and friends.

Fitness does NOT signify Health. You can be fit but significantly unhealthy.Don’t confuse the two or be fooled by people that look “fit”. This myth is perpetuated by the fitness industry/athletes/body comp influencers. They look the part but under the hood there is massive

You are only as mentally tough as your life demands. If you live a life of comfort you are not mentally tough. If you regularly expose yourself to challenges that cause you to fail and force you to experience adversity, learn, and become stronger. You are mentally tough.

Strength & Conditioning and Sports Nutrition can't just be "taught" in the classroom. You also can’t learn it on social media. It has to be learned & experienced in the field/in real life. You need to know how to work w/people, teams, & situations in dynamic & chaotic.

Skipping breakfast (delaying eating until 12pm) can harm athletic performance later in the day. -Mean power.-Performance.-Perception of effort. All decreased in the no breakfast group.If you train (even in the evening) and you care about performance you should eat breakfast.

Kids just aren’t being kids these days. Bringing back the Presidential Fitness Test won’t solve this issue. All it’s going to do is reveal how weak, deconditioned, and subpar the average kid’s fitness really is. -No regular PE or recess anymore (huge mistake).-No all-day outdoor.

Right now, only 15% of elementary students and 9% of middle schoolers are required to have P.E. at least 3 times a week. In many schools, P.E. class sizes balloon to 60+ kids per teacher. This isn’t physical education. It’s crowd control. We’re setting kids up to disengage.

If a coach complains their athletes aren’t "fit" enough. What's the actual cause of the perceived issue:. Sleep.Stress mgmt.Load mgmt.Nutrition.Hydration.Tactical knowledge.Economy.Max capacity. What does the athlete control & what it is the coach can influence?. Are they not fit.
