The AHS Turret clock group is a sub group of the Antiquarian Horological Society. The purpose is to increase awareness of and interest in turret clocks.

This week the horological world has lost one of the modern day experts in the field of turret clocks. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends and everyone in the turret clock world. He was our go to expert especially where Big Ben was concerned.

As part of our tour of the Vale of Glamorgan we had a presentation by @chrismckay1000 on his new book on The Port Regis clock and our usual fantastic accompaniment by Stewart on some of the marvellous organs in places we visited.

The second & last day of the AHS Turret Clock Group tour of the Vale of Glamorgan and we started it with a unknown 18th century birdcage followed a 3 train Gillet & Johnston. We then went to Cardiff Castle and saw the 1870 2 train Dent and finally a 1946 Gillett & Johnston.
