This week the horological world has lost one of the modern day experts in the field of turret clocks. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends and everyone in the turret clock world. He was our go to expert especially where Big Ben was concerned.

As part of our tour of the Vale of Glamorgan we had a presentation by @chrismckay1000 on his new book on The Port Regis clock and our usual fantastic accompaniment by Stewart on some of the marvellous organs in places we visited.

The information sheet for the turret clock at St Mary’s, #Piddlehinton, is almost a relic in its own right.
