In the latest #SBIT episode @UncleSteveRock and I to go on Crusade for the โPope on his throneโ! But is the story behind this great #IronMaiden song really about โCatholic greed and its paranoid zealโโฆ? Rivalries, lies, conspiracy, heresy! Kill them all! God will know his ownโฆ
This week, it's time for your favorite History Teacher Lord @AGWhitnall to teach you the facts behind another historical @IronMaiden song! Heretics beware! #IronMaiden

On this day 1989 The #Arsenal beat Norwich City 4-3 at Highbury in a game that received notoriety for a mass brawl. David O'Leary beat George Armstrong's all time Arsenal appearance record, when he played his 622nd game for the Gunners and celebrated it by scoring a rare goal.

Iโm flying the #flag of #Israel ๐ฎ๐ฑ for its recent #FlagDay. It was adopted as the national flag on 28th October, 1948, after being a Zionist flag since 1897. Itโs based on a Jewish prayer shawl, the โStar of Davidโ being a recognised symbol of Judaism. Flag from @mrflag ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ.

With no away fans attending, and strict ticketing arrangements to ensure only real Villa fans attend, how does this policing operation compare to a European fixture with away fans attending? Whoโs likely to cause trouble?
This Thursday will see us mount a large policing operation, as Aston Villa take on Maccabi Tel Aviv at Villa Park. Find out more about our work to keep everyone safe ๐ https://t.co/5UiRo7FGPU

Instead of waking up in the morning thinking โoh no, here we go againโ I decided to start thinking โmarvellous, another day to enjoy!โ But being British, I canโt help sounding sarcastic, even in my own head, so it hasnโt helped at all.

โFor a significant number of us, the dramatic 3-2 FA Cup Final win in โ79 against Manchester United was our first taste of Gunners glory, and Willie is the first member of the team to pass away. A piece of my childhood is now gone.โ A fitting tribute to Willie Youngโฆ
Hereโs my tribute to Willie Young, a Gunners cult hero and a Scottish rebel amongst the London Irish. RIP Big Man. https://t.co/ERT7BcAX1T

Arguably the speech that defined the next 30 years of British attitudes towards its membership of, and eventual departure from, the EUโฆ
On 30th October 1990, Margaret Thatcher gives her infamous "No. No. No." speech, leading to Geoffrey Howe's resignation the next day, and which some say precipitated her downfall the next month. In the speech, Thatcher goes off script and outrightly rejects Britain's membership

The day Mrs Thatcher was savaged by a dead sheepโฆ
1 November 1990. UK deputy Prime Minister, Sir Geoffrey Howe resigned after a row with Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, over discussions on the future of European policy. Howeโs scathing resignation speech in the House of Commons began a cabinet revolt that led to her downfall.
