@ShabanaKausar3 You are trying to evict two queer people, one of whom is a wheelchair user, from a St Pauls property in the middle of a global pandemic. You delayed repairs to damp for so long that mushrooms grew out of the sopping wet carpet, damaging your tenants’ health.

Why is the council shutting us down rather than providing meaningful, material support for the 400 people of Barton House. Instead Marvin sat with a full plate of food watching our ACORN officer being assaulted.

💪 A growing force to be reckoned with! On Monday, 22 members came to Member Defence training and emerged ready to protect our members. That's 22 more people with the knowledge and the will to get between bailiffs and members' homes, and form a barrier against homelessness. 💪

🚩The tenants, united, will never be defeated! On Friday 12th Nov, we marched on the office of law firm TLT, who is representing HSBC bank in the eviction of @ACORNLeeds members Arkadiusz and Alex, to make it clear that those evicting our members can be reached wherever they are!

Cabinet lead for Housing @KyeDudd went to Barton House for a staged press interview today. But the residents started asking him questions, and after they were pushed aside, Dudd literally ran away. @KyeDudd why are you running away?

I believe these belong to you! 🦗 This week we took action for members Sam and Jams who were forced to live in a cockroach infested house. If Adil of Lets Rent thinks it's ok to live with cockroaches, we thought he won't mind having some back!

We're the largest organisation of renters in the city. No-one is better placed to have a real conversation about improving renting in Bristol, so clearly that isn’t what they want.

Playing games in TSB bank and getting comfy, just like TSB does with their 12-month tenancy limits. Because who needs long-term security when you can have a yearly eviction adventure?

A win for ACORN members in Barton House! After months of refusing to meet with us, the council has invited ACORN Barton House Rep, Fadumo, to meet with them to negotiate, as a representative of Barton House families who don't feel safe moving back to the block.

💰 Action - hand over the swag! Last Thursday ACORN took action against a rogue landlord, who's refusing to return the deposits of 4 members, by staging a demo outside one of his properties.

👀 We're not fighting for public toilets for the fun of it. People are actually suffering. Our member Nigel is living with incontinence. He offered to share his experience so that people can see why public toilets matter so much to people living with certain disabilities. >>
