Great work from @ResearchRMIT , @ACMD_BioFab PhD student @emily_L__ ! She showed how melt-electrowriting can be used to create capillary-scale channels (down to 10 um diameter) within cell-laden hydrogels. A collab with @StVincentsMelb funded by the Bauer Foundation @Neurobionics
An obstacle to creating artificial tissue models is supplying cells with oxygen and nutrients. Here, researchers @iCatHalo @ResearchRMIT use printed polycaprolactone fibers encapsulated in cell-laden hydrogels to produce hollow, perfusable channels. https://t.co/UkV4PpdXAv
