After our field trip we had mini society to apply personal financial literacy concepts!! 💰 I collected federal income tax, no state income tax because Texas doesn’t have one, and Payroll tax before purchasing items and calculating sales tax. 🤩

I did a retrieval this morning based off of concepts learned in the first 9 weeks in 5 different subjects after students took a week long fall break. What better time to find out what from my teaching has gotten into their long term memory and what hasn’t. ❤️

Enjoyed my self selected PD with @SoLInTheWild tonight. I’ve been tiptoeing around this idea through my exit tickets & repeated review; but the nuance that was explained about how to make teaching stickier was a revelation & I know my teaching will be elevated as a result.
