I first heard about Cam when he was a youngster in travel ball. I was lucky to coach him for a season in HS and watch him up close another three. Kid was born to pitch. Now the path to the top gets really, really steep. Small steps, get better each day. And best of luck.

This is why Krukow is so great. He cares about others. I’ll never forget how he pulled me aside once when I was in a depression and told me how many kids I was inspiring each day covering ball and to feel good about it. A gem of a man and when right, a stud on the mound.
It’s the little moments of grace. Mike Krukow could have used moment to talk about himself. Instead he shifted the focus to how Fernando Valenzuela belongs in the Hall Fame
