Wachowskis' Speed Racer actually captures kinetic spirit of the original Japanese anime. The film works because it treats the source material with respect rather than mockery, ensuring it is a fun, story about the integrity of family, despite being campy its good adaptation.
I swear Speed Racer bombing made Hollywood forever terrified of colors. Still one of my favorites, btw.
