We are in desperate need to greater understanding of Autism and ADHD in children and how such conditions influence their emotions. Suicidal ideation is far more common in neurodiverse children (and adults too). Children should no longer have to mask/pretend to cope in their lives

The Elections Act needs reversing beyond Voter ID - the Electoral Commission should be independent again and Not under supervision of a government minister.
Among the Conservative measures that need urgent reversal and hurt our human rights, new protest laws are right up there with the Rwanda Bill and voter ID.

The imputed prejudice is SUCH an important point! In fact, it might hold ‘diversity’ candidates back more than actual prejudice! A 🧵 with some research:
A lot of media coverage (US and UK) lacks nuance or sense in discussing the role of race & sex as personal characteristics for a candidate. There is a persistent media bias towards exaggerating the imputed prejudice of voters, rather than exploring this risk in an informed way

I took data from 62 countries based on how Easy/Difficult their registration system is & I made the International Difficulty of registration index (IDORI) TL;DR UK has comparatively difficult registration to most established democracies
