I will say it looked absolutely gorgeous, sound and design were spot on, I loved the android and they do some interesting narrative things with him.

Imagine the Marines in Aliens turning up in that film and having some dipshit spell out absolutely everything to them, THAT WOULD BE EXCITING AND MYSTERIOUS

The CGI call back character also makes absolutely no sense to bring back from a narrative standpoint, looks like dogshit, but more than anything, how boring is it to have someone info dump on your characters?

And I'm beyond baffled with people going on about this BONKERS last act, like it takes some amazing swings, Aliens had a fucking giant alien fight the lead while she wore a robot power suit

Absolutely mind boggled how fucking tame it was to, the chest burster scene looked like they had extreme intergestion, John Hurt looked like his fucking body was on fire.

I wasn't as up in arms over the call backs like some fans have been, but you're constantly reminded of what came before and what came was better.

I have no issues with Alien Romulus not doing anything particularly new, I just had issues with it not doing anything particularly good. A great first act, but the actual Alien felt like a cameo in its own film, no breathing room, no mystery, tension, gore.

Think he forgot to include this in the actual film
