Almost every deal that is making headlines is pay to play. A circus which is heavily being driven by Alt L1’s. Don’t blame others when you lose your own game.

Curious to hear what others think —.Are we genuinely moving toward real stock ownership on-chain?. Or are we just building better trading wrappers around old rails?.

Tokenizing stocks is not a tech problem. It’s a legal, compliance, liquidity, and coordination problem. And until that gets solved, all “on-chain equities” will remain approximations — not the real thing.

So now you’re paying extra for slippage, spreads, and risk coverage — just to get ��24/7 stocks” that may not reflect real prices. This breaks the illusion of seamless trading. You don’t just need tokens — you need liquidity that makes sense around the clock.

And there’s another huge issue no one talks about:. Markets aren’t open 24/7. But blockchains are. So who provides liquidity when NASDAQ is closed?. Market makers do — but they’ll charge high premiums to absorb that off-hours risk.

Robinhood launching tokenized stocks on Arbitrum sounds huge — and it is. But behind the scenes, it’s still wrapped in traditional infra:.– Licensed custodians.– Centralized compliance.– Off-chain legal enforcement. The token is just the surface layer.

Even when platforms claim to “bring stocks to Solana” or “tokenize equities on Arbitrum,” what they’re really doing is offering synthetic exposure. That too in a more fragmented way. Like should I own xAPPL or dAPPL or whatever. You’re also trusting an off-chain intermediary.

Let’s say someone launches $AAPL or $TSLA onchain. It might trade, pump, dump…. But ask yourself:.– Do you legally own a share? No, the SPV does. – Can you vote or receive dividends? Again SPV. – Is this recognized by any court? Most likely, no. And that’s the core issue.
