This is just gorgeous wistful work that shows a West that never really existed. There was dream of manifest destiny that ran aground at the Pacific shore and, Cronenberged by Capital, turned into the zombie dream of an unspoiled endless landscape- Neff captures this perfectly.
Currently presented alongside @luke_shannon_’s exhibition is Your Land, a series by @heyneff that removes the cowboy from Richard Prince’s iconic photographs, rendering them into quiet, uncanny landscapes. Left: Richard Prince Right: Michael Neff

Last night, we opened and sold out our new show, Replacement Character by @luke_shannon_. Guests gathered around the plotter-scanner, following its path of light with hands, then phones, and then cake.
