Almost immediately after a heated and humorous back-and-forth with the AI itself (which led to the post above), I was once again able to upload photos. So it appears the issue was a temporary glitch—not a true limit imposed on Plus users.

I don’t even care about the cap. It’s the blindside—restrictions that didn’t exist a minute ago. Maybe a glitch. Maybe a new rule. No way to know. When the product shifts silently, it erodes trust—even from paying users. And there’s no clear outlet to address it, hence this post.

I just tried uploading an image to ChatGPT and got hit with: “You’re out of uploads. Try again September 1.” No warning. No explanation. No documentation. As a Plus subscriber, I had no idea there were limits. @sama @OpenAI —this lack of transparency can be a bit frustrating.
