Tribute project 1: Digitization of 2000 typewritten manuscripts by Herbert starting from the 1950s is completed. They are preserved in the @zkm_collections Karlsruhe in the HWF-Archive. Now work has begun in ZKM to set up the online tool for public access in the coming weeks.

The project #tribute to Herbert W. Franke started one year ago. Artists from all over the world participated with donations in the amount of more than 100,000 €. They are used to preserve his written legacy and to support Namibian students in computer science.

We all think of Herbert W. Franke, who would have celebrated his 96th birthday today. It is also an opportunity to say once again how grateful we are to all artists for making the digitisation of Herbert's manuscripts possible through their generous donations! @zkmkarlsruhe
At the end of this special day, birthday of @HerbertWFranke, I want to inform all our Tribute artists that their donations are in working mode. Both projects are in progress. The digitization of Herbert’s more than 2000 manuscripts is completed in @zkm_collections in Karlsruhe.
