The USA changed in November 2024. The West changed. The world changed. Europe should change too. The palliative caretakers of the decline in the European Commission, starting with VdL, should be replaced by people that do not have to fake ambition, determination and courage.

I have a fairly simple woke virus detector in my Gmail. Searching for "he/him", "she/her" and "season's greetings" weeds it out. To the latter I reply "Happy Four Seasons" ๐ค

Ukraine is an asset of European strength not a liability. It is the only European country that knows how to fight and that manufactures drones.
๐ช Europe must be strong enough to stand on its own. Financing Ukraine drains Europeโs strength instead of adding to it. Strong borders, strong armies, strong defence industry. That should be the goal.

These are nice to have. But really important is hard power. Industrial and military.
Genuinely Europe has a chance to become the new nexus of the free world. We need more trade agreements with the world, more scientific & military exchange with our friends in liberal democracies, & we need to forge a federal Union. Europe can replace what the US was after 1945.

Here, @elonmusk, is a list of things the EU should do.
โGovernment has three primary functions. It should provide for military defense of the nation. It should enforce contracts between individuals. It should protect citizens from crimes against themselves or their property.โ โ Milton Friedman

I like the concept of responsible nationalism ๐๐
The US can help restore European independence in various ways, including: 1. Restoring a balanced, responsible US nationalism as a positive model for Western countries. 2. Actively favoring alliances with countries and political parties advancing a balanced, responsible

Yugoslavia was yet another proof that multiculturalism doesn't work. It's a good thing it broke up. Pity it did so violently. Miloลกeviฤ did not have the wisdom of Jeltsin.

Did Syria recognize Israel? Do they give rights to minorities? Did Al-Sharaa conduct ethnic cleansing, possibly genocide?
Good exchange with President Al-Sharaa on the challenges that Syria faces during its transition. The European Union continues to promote a genuine, inclusive, peaceful and Syrian-led transition, free from harmful foreign interference. We are committed to increasing our

He was not "Muslim" Syrian. He was Syrian. Religions come and go, populations stay. Syria was not "Muslim" for most of its 6000+ year history, even during the Omayad (it was Christian majority then); like Palestine, it underwent conversions over the past 5 centuries.
Steve Jobsโs father was a Muslim Syrian named Abdul Fattah Jandali, who was born in Homs, Syria. An Arab made the iPhone, the Mac and one of Americaโs most valuable companies.
