Listening promotes intuitive thinking. Reading activates more analytical processing. 5 experiments: in English & Chinese, people showed better logical reasoning when trivia questions, riddles, and puzzles were written rather than spoken. Reading is vital to critical thinking.

Out now! With native Chinese speakers, we find presenting vaccine information in their foreign English increases trust in the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine, as a result, reducing vaccine hesitency.
